Titanium slag is classified into 2 categories based on the TiO2 amount:
- Low slag (75 – 85% TiO2): material for pigment production by Sulphate process
- High slag (> 85% TiO2): material for pigment production by Chloride process
Titanium slag is also material to porous titanium, metal titanium, electrical welding rod… production
